What to look for before contacting us for an emergency inspection:

  1. Unpleasant Smells: Sewage smells can come from breaks in the drain field line, which we will inspect before having your septic pumped. However, if smell are present with no broken lines, it is time to pump your septic tank.
  2. Overflow Seepage: If you identify any smelly water around the septic tank that is above the tank lid this is a good indicator to have us inspect and  possibly pump your septic tank. While overfilling can be due to breaks in the lines, we will  investigate the situation to determine the severity of the situation in order to take the actions necessary to resolve the issue properly.
  3. Toilet & Drain Backups: If  you have already attempted to unclog the backup with a snake with no change, it could be time to pump your septic tank. Additionally, if the toilets are backed up with discolored wastewater in the showers and bathtubs, call us immediately. Your septic system needs to be repaired as soon as possible to avoid the spreading of sickness and disease.
  4. Emergency Inspection Assessment: If your not experiencing any issues with your septic tank and want to make sure to prevent problems from arising then you should have your tank pumped approximately every 3-5 years depending on the size of your septic tank as well as the amount of usage. Contact us to determine your routine maintenance recommendations.
